My mission

I am passionate about bringing more Self-Leadership to the business world.

Humanity is facing tremendous challenges and we need clear-sighted, courageous and compassionate leaders to bring about much needed change in our organizations and institutions.

My mission as a Self-Leadership Coach is to support the development of leaders who are up to the task.

My background

I have worked in a variety of roles and business environments:

  • As a software engineer, project manager and director in several innovative technology startups
  • As a management consultant, trainer, and workshop facilitator for large corporations, mid-sized companies, and family-owned businesses in a wide range of industries
  • As a director of a non-profit foundation operating at the intersection of business and politics
  • As a self-employed leadership coach and an IFS-informed practitioner

I have studied many different subjects, some of them because I thought I needed to prove my worth and others because I truly wanted to know. I hold an MBA from INSEAD and a degree that is equivalent to an MSc in Mathematics. I am deeply interested in philosophy and all the social sciences, but what fascinates me most is the human mind and psyche.

In 2003 I became certified as a professional Co-Active Coach. Since then, I have continued my education in many other methods of coaching and psychotherapy, searching for the most effective way to achieve personal transformation. What I offer today as Self-Leadership Coaching is based primarily on the paradigm and method of Internal Family Systems (IFS), which I sometimes combine with Nonviolent Communication.

Over the course of my professional life, I have learned the hard way that being smart, knowledgable and ambitious just wasn't enough and that I needed to do the deep inner work that would enable me to lead myself and others well. It was a long journey until I found IFS and fell in love with it. Working with my own parts to cultivate my Self-Leadership has become an almost daily practice, and I am deeply grateful for the profound impact it has had on all aspects of my life.
